At Press Play, nothing is more important than the safety, security, and well-being of every dancer, family member, and guest at our events. We know that parents and studios are trusting us with their dancers, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Our safety program is built on industry-leading standards, rigorous staff training, and zero-tolerance policies for misconduct. Every decision we make—from how we train our faculty to how we design our event spaces—is guided by a single goal: to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where dancers can thrive.
Key Safety Measures
Here are some of the steps we take to ensure safety at every event:
- Mandatory Background Checks:
Every team member working with or around minors undergoes a national background screening. - Extensive Staff Training:
All staff, faculty, and crew complete training in one or more of the following areas: abuse prevention, emergency response, first aid, and CPR. - Clear Code of Conduct:
Strict rules govern interactions between staff, participants, parents, and studios—with zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior. - Emergency Preparedness:
All staff are trained to respond to medical situations, severe weather, and active threat scenarios, with a designated Safety Officer on-site at every event. - Secure Event Spaces:
Controlled access points, monitored backstage areas, and check-in/check-out procedures help keep dancers safe and accounted for. - Safety Reporting:
Concerns can be reported at any time to the dedicated Event Safety Officer or by email at safety@pressplay.com.
